Who We Are

Our Story
An introduction to INAEC will always begin in 1932, when Iloilo-Negros Air Express Company (INAEC) was first established by Don Eugenio H. Lopez, Sr. as the first Philippine airline. The story could have ended in 1947 when INAEC, rebuilt after the war as Far East Asia Transport, Inc. (FEATI), was sold and later merged with what would become Philippine Airlines.
But INAEC is a Filipino corporation founded on Filipino values, and resiliency is not only entrenched in the Filipino culture. It runs through the veins of every Filipino.
Thus, like a phoenix rising from its ashes, INAEC was reborn in 1993 as INAEC Aviation Corporation.
In its early years, INAEC, as part of the Lopez Group of Companies, was used solely by its sister and affiliate companies to serve the latter’s air transport requirements. This, however, only proved that INAEC possessed the potential to fulfill an even greater and bigger purpose. Hence, in 2001, INAEC transformed itself once again – this time into an air charter operator capable of meeting the heightened demand by third parties for air charter services, both domestic and international.
Beginning with service contracts with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, INAEC went on to provide air transport services to Philodrill Corporation, one of the oil and gas producers (OGP) in the Philippines.
The OGP industry, known for requiring its service providers to comply with rigorous international standards, lost no time in recognizing INAEC’s top-quality caliber. With its passion for safety, INAEC, after thorough and exacting scrutiny by Galoc Production Company (GPC) and, later, Shell Philippines Exploration B.V. (SPEX), forged partnerships with these companies to be the sole domestic air transport service provider for the OGP industry in the Philippines.
Fast gaining its well-earned reputation for safety, service excellence, and unwavering integrity in its business dealings, INAEC also became the air charter provider of choice to its select clientele, consisting of known and established VVIPs, here and abroad.
INAEC has since ventured into an even wider range of aviation services, from domestic and international air charters, to aircraft management, aircraft maintenance, medical evacuation, and fixed base operations.
In all its endeavors, INAEC brings with it the best of what the Filipino has to offer – the warmth of the Filipino hospitality, the commitment to professionalism, the unstinting devotion to getting things done, and getting things done right.
Indeed, INAEC, rooted as it is in a deep and historic heritage dating as far back as 1932, remains true to and continues to celebrate its core belief – that the Filipino is, without a doubt, world-class.
About INAEC
INAEC proudly traces its roots back in 1932 when it started as Iloilo-Negros Air Express Company, the first airline in the Philippines. It was reborn in 1993 initially to serve the aviation needs of the Lopez Group of Companies, a Filipino conglomerate with businesses in clean energy generation and distribution, media and broadcasting, and real estate development.
INAEC has evolved into a multi-mission aviation company offering an even wider range of aviation services, from domestic and international air charters, to medical evacuation, aircraft management, aircraft maintenance, and fixed base operations At present, INAEC is the sole domestic air transport provider for oil and gas producers (OGP) in the Philippines. With its strict adherence to international safety standards and the characteristic Filipino service of warmth and professionalism.
In 2019, INAEC obtained its International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BA0) Stage 1 Certification. This marked the first time a holder of a Philippine Air Operator Certificate (AOC) has been accorded such distinction.
